Archives for Studio

Kathy recently had some fun doing Kim’s business portraits! Kim is a mortgage consultant in the Toledo, Ohio area, and needed a business portrait for her business cards. There’s a bit of jealousy in this post, I regret to admit. Kim was going on a week’s long vacation in Mexico after her portraits. Good luck Kim! Have fun!

I met Isabel and Leonard last year and was thrilled when mom called me to schedule another photo session to celebrate their 2013 birthdays!  Isabel is 3 and Leonard is 1.  These two had a blast in the studio sitting climbing playing on the furniture and hamming it up for the camera.  Oh, and Isabel just loves our little dog, Indy, so bribery didn’t come in the form of sugar for once.  (But Leonard? Wanted absolutely nothing to do with a dog, so that made the bribery a little…interesting…one gets to play, the other is shielded…ah well.  It worked out okay I think!)  Here is a quick little peek at their birthday session!

And a short video, too!

These two faces will be familiar to many of my followers, I’m sure!  Logan and Devin are brothers who are growing up way, way, WAY too fast!  I mean, just yesterday Logan was scooting (not crawling…LOL!) and Devin was a baby…right???  Where does the time go?  Here are a few of this year’s spring photo session (inside, because, well…brrrrrr!)

Oh, and I haven’t shared one of these slideshows in a while, but I’ve had a request to bring them back. So, here’s a quick video of the boys’ photo session. Enjoy!

Can’t decide whether you want some studio photos or an outdoor session?  Take a cue from the Pershing family and do a little of each!  Yet another reason to avoid the “chains” for your family’s photography…you get to be as flexible as you want!

I teased Jayme’s headshots a while ago…so sorry for the delay, and without further adieu, here are a few of my personal favorites from her session:

That last one?  In the bottom right corner?  All Jayme’s idea!  She writes for her blog: The Random Blogette, so she wanted to have a couple of poses that reflect some of the craziness that she records from her day-to-day life.  It’s a great read; go check it out!

While Jayme had her hairs and make-up did, she figured that the whole family should jump in for a few, as well.  Here is a sampling of the rest of her crew:

Ok, so you probably want to know what’s up with the phones and games…another one of Jayme’s awesome ideas!  She wanted to capture a little bit of real life here.  You know (and don’t pretend that you don’t do this) the real part of life that happens when you are all sitting in the same room but not talking because you are all fiddling on something?  I thought it was cute, and a great way to portray today’s techy-family!

Check out Jayme’s headshot gallery and the Weiden family session on today!
