Archives for blog

This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of meeting up with Megan, a Senior at Fremont-Ross High School. Megan wanted something a little different for her photos so we ventured to Sandusky for some fun shots on a perfect fall day! Here’s a sneak peek at her session:

The rest of Megan’s gallery will be available soon!

Come visit us this Thursday for Downtown Sylvania’s Downtown Delights Chili-N in Sylvania. Benefits Sylvania Family Services and the Sylvania Historical Village. Come and vote for our “Chorizo Chili Jack Attack” ! Other merchants downtown will be having chili tasting as well . Who will have the best? It will be a yummy good time! Stores will be open until 8 so come get your holiday shopping started!

Yes, you read that right.  An intern.  How awesome is that?!?  I won’t take it personally that he applied by default, since he was frightfully close to starting the school year without the required position.  I also won’t even mention the fact that he’s not really that into photography (YET).  🙂

Soooo, then why is Jacob interning for me this fall semester?  I’ll let him tell you in his own words:

“Hi! I am Jacob Vogel, a Lourdes University marketing student and intern with Photography by K. I will be helping Kathy out this semester with various tasks so you may see me or you may only see my work. I have a love of computers so blogging and social networking are most likely where I will be assisting. Feel free to contact me at Have an O. K. day! “

Yes!  I am super geeked about having my very own intern!  And, a marketing student, to boot.  It just can’t get much better.  I’m going to be so very up on the Twitterers and Tweeters and Facebook-Friending…and whatever else the kids are into these days!
If you’re booking a session in the fall, you just may get to meet Jacob!  Welcome Jacob, and happy happy beginnings to your Senior year!

So…I have been very blessed to be able to expand my business and work from home, entirely for myself this year.  I have done so with the support and continued business from many clients.  These two are especially important, because they have helped pave the way for me to leap into the Real Estate Photography world.  Without them, I might have time to sleep wouldn’t be nearly as successful in Real Estate Photography! 🙂

Recently, I embarked on a project to assist Kristie Feeback in getting her new blog design live.  She worked with Green Tangerine Design to create the awesome layout and graphics, and I helped her get the content in the right place and get to the point where is out there for the world to see!

Also, Kevin Warren and his team (The Warren Group) asked me to assist them in creating a Social Media Plan.  At the center of that plan was a blog that I actually did build (well, as much as one can say they “build” things that live on the blogger platform, anyway).  Check out to see it in action!
