Archives for June 2011

I’ll let the photo speak for itself today…

…more coming soon! 🙂

What a great theme for a challenge over at I Heart Faces! You know that I’ve been taking some business portraits for some REALTORS over at The Danberry Co., lately. Well…Helen works in the Business Development department, and she came to her session prepared and FULL of whimsical fun! Check out one of her “fun” portraits:

A touch of whimsy? More like a bucket-full! 🙂

I’ve been busy taking more photos for agents at The Danberry Co., Realtors.  This time, I headed out to the Oregon and Westgate offices.  Here is another small sampling of the agents that I’ve met recently…are you thinking about buying, selling, or just plain moving?  Click on their photos to view their websites and contact them directly in regards to the Toledo Real Estate Market!

Ok…here are the rest of the photos from that backyard birthday party that I promised!  They were a fun clan, despite a few sprinkles that threatened as we started taking some group shots.  We lucked out and stayed dry just long enough for everyone to take their turn posing.  Here are a few of my favorites of the Woda family:

And yes. There were chickens, too!

Of course you do! How could you forget this face?

That was Emma just about a month after she was born. Now, she’s a bit older, but her expression has remained unchanged:

Just kidding! (Even though we couldn’t really get a full smile, she really is just the happiest, most content baby ever…I promise!) I have LOTS more to show you from this fun, family session held at a backyard birthday party. Until then, I’ll leave you with perhaps my favorite shot of the day:

Have I mentioned just how much I LOVE this family?!? 🙂 More coming soon…

It’s another week, another I Heart Faces web challenge. 🙂  When I read this week’s theme, I thought of Max.  This spring, he and Jill (his sister) ran around the Toledo Botanical Gardens with me, and it was a blast!  At one point, I asked Max to jump off of a small retaining wall…here is the result:

I love everything about this photo. The jacket and tie, his expression…everything! I hope you like it, too!

I met Madison & Peyton last weekend at Wildwood for a short photo session. Peyton turned 3 in April, so mom (Leslie) wanted to celebrate the occasion with something different…different from the “normal” studio photos that she had taken each year prior. The sisters both get to participate for each birthday, and they came dressed to impress in classic red, white and blue!

I had such a good time getting to know them…I know that you’ll think they’re absolutely adorable just by looking at a few samples from their day:

When I read the theme for this week’s challenge at I Heart Faces (Bright & Vivid), I knew that I had the perfect photo:

This is the Dewald family late last year. I just love the bright blue wall!  We met for a photo session to celebrate their son’s 3rd birthday, just before the family relocated to Nashville. 🙁 I’m really hopeful that when they head back to town for the holiday’s they’ll give me a call…I can’t wait to see how much their little guy has grown!

Recently, The Danberry Co., Realtors has allowed me to set up shop in their offices and take updated business portraits of their Agents. Real Estate Agents use these photos on business cards and in all of their advertising online and in print. Now, I’m not a traditional studio photographer, so I’ve had a blast getting to know the ins and outs of the using backgrounds and lights. So far, I’ve taken photos for a few of the Agents with the Temperance, Michigan office and a few more from the Briarfield Office in Maumee, Ohio. Here’s a small sample of what I’ve been doing lately (and click on their photos to visit each Agent’s website to find out more about working with a REALTOR when buying or selling a home!):

Hot, hot, hot!  That’s me describing the weather lately, not the Bengela family!  Though, they are a pretty good looking bunch, too :).  Jason and I met up with the Bengela family last Saturday (the same day that the sun scorched the earth and landed directly on top of us here in Toledo, Ohio…but I’m not bitter about it or anything).  Man!  We went directly from winter to summer…and not just summer…we skipped over May/June/July and went straight into the August heat and humidity (and bugs!) here.  BUT, the Bengela’s are troopers!  The whole bunch traipsed with us through Wildwood for just over an hour as we sought out bits and pieces of shade here and there to stay slightly cooler.  We genuinely enjoyed the time spent with the whole gang, and we look forward to Abbie’s Senior pictures soon!  Until then, here are some of my favorites from their family session:
